After a disappointing show against a well organised and skillful side Woodbridge and then a free week with no fixture, Wanderers were away to Leiston with a reshuffled line-up due to 3-players on suspension and another player last minute call-off due to illness, saw a new central defence pairing of Ben Blagg and Thomas Padmore. Wanderers started the better of the two sides stroking the ball around the pitch and using the wings to full advantage. However because they failed to capitalise on the majority of possession and a number of near misses, allowed Leiston to creep back into the game and concede a goal against the run of play. Wanderes reacted well but still failed to restore the initiative and went a littole wounded for all their efforts. Half-Time: 1-0
The second half started as Wanderers had left off with the team competing well in all positions. Driver continued to pose a threat with his blistering pace and the majestic Moore started to come into his own. Then with only 5min into the second-half Driver was put through and brought down just on the edge of the 18-yard box in a clumsy challenge. A direct free-kick was awarded for the same challenge. Dunne stepped up to take it, with a wonderful left foot strike past the diving keeper who did well as he was partially unsighted from the Leiston defensive wall. However Wanderers failed to make any impression on the scoreline. Lait who had done a good job on the left side was replaced by Walker. Wanderers was looking increasingly less effective down the wings as Leiston started to impose themselves in midfield. Guthrie was brought on for the hardworking Shore, where Guthrie with his lightning pace went close with a couple of chances down the right. While at the other end Keeler who continues to improve in goal week on week, pulled off some great saves to keep Wanderers in the match as the Wanderers side started to look a little shaky particularly in the latter stages of the match. A well deserved share of the spoils.
